TerraVia Aerial Services is a Geospatial and Geophysical data provider based in Lusaka, Zambia.
We are a Zambia Civil Aviation Authority (ZCAA) licensed company and hold a Ministry of Transport and Logistics (MTL) Air Service Permit (ASP) and ZCAA Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems (RPAS) Operator Certificate (ROC) with authorizations to carry out Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS), Night and operations above 400ft.
TerraVia holds public liability cover worth $1,000,000 for all operations and our Remotely Piloted Aircraft (RPAs) are all risk insured.
We utilize RPAs commonly known as drones, combined with advanced remote sensors to generate a multitude of data for the Construction, Environmental, Engineering, Agricultural, Mining, Conservation, Research and Education industries. Our fleet of advanced RPAs and professional, licensed remote pilots are able to deliver accurate and actionable data much faster than traditional methods, at a fraction of the cost.
Orthomosaic Maps
Orthomosaics provide high-resolution maps of your area of interest. These maps are geometrically corrected to account for sensor complexities. These Orthomosaics can be used to extract design critical information and measurements
Topographic Maps
Our high accuracy RGB and LiDAR payloads generate a wide range of topographic survey outputs. Topographic maps allow for water flow analysis, erosion analysis, stockpile appraisals among many other use cases
LiDAR Maps
LiDAR derived data allows for removal of all vegetation, resulting in bare earth models, even under heavy shrubbery or thick foliage. LiDAR data can be utilised for inspections of industrial assets, BIM, forestry, mining, planning and analysis of electric pylons etc
SLAM Mapping
SLAM = Simultaneous Localisation and Mapping is a technology that does not rely on referencing data from GPS satellites. We can map in GPS denied environments such as warehouses for stockpile measurements, internals of industrial assets, tree structures in extreme detail and underground tunnel systems for mines.
Thermal Maps
Utilizing state-of-the-art radiometric thermal imaging cameras, we capture precise temperature data across diverse landscapes. From building inspections to solar farm monitoring, our technology reveals hidden insights in real-time, identifying anomalies, heat signatures, and potential faults that escape the naked eye.
Magnetic Maps
You can now effortlessly map magnetic fields in even the most challenging environments. Our state-of-the-art drones equipped with magnetometer sensors provide accurate and reliable data, allowing you to create detailed magnetic maps for a wide range of applications. Locate subsurface mineralisation with ease.
Construction Monitoring
Remotely monitor your construction project on the TerraVia backend. Allow shareholders to monitor progress from anywhere in the world. Pull critical stockpile and as built data to monitor the precision of the construction
Multispectral maps
With multi-spectral cameras we are able to generate a variety of indices to assess vegetation cover and crop health. These include Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI), Extended NDVI (ENDVI) etc
GIS Services
Along with acquisitioning aerial data adhering to the highest standards, TerraVia provides GIS services such as contour generation, point cloud classification, GIS line-work, digitization, analysis, flow delineation, solar radiance and view sheds among other critical GIS services

Phantom 4 Pro
The Phantom 4 Pro is a staple of the drone industry. It is a workhorse that never relents. It provides an accuracy of 1-3m and produces good quality orthomosaics, photography and film.
DJI Zenmuse L2 LiDAR Scanner
Zenmuse L2 integrates frame LiDAR, a self-developed high-accuracy IMU system, and a 4/3 CMOS RGB mapping camera, providing DJI flight platforms with more precise, efficient, and reliable geospatial data acquisition. When used with DJI Terra, it delivers a turnkey solution for 3D data collection and high-accuracy post-processing.
Phantom 4 RTK
The Phantom 4 RTK is the enterprise model of the Phantom 4 Pro. It integrates a high accuracy Trimble GNSS for surveys down to an accuracy of 1cm absolute. It specializes in aerial surveys and allows for a much shorter turn around time.
DJI Zenmuse H20T Thermal & Zoom
The Zenmuse H20T is a unique hybrid all in one solution that defines mission efficiency. DJI Mavic 3 Pro Cine – ADS-B
The Mavic 3 Pro Cine version has superior video specs, has 1TB of internal storage and a 10Gbps data cable for quicker file transfer. It offers Apple ProRes 422 HQ, Apple ProRes 422 and Apple ProRes 422 LT encoding. The new 10-bit D-Log M color mode supports recording up to one billion colors.
GVI H300 SLAM Scanner
With its advanced sensors, the LiGrip H300 can quickly capture extensive scene data across various platforms, such as handheld, backpack, mounted on vehicle, and drone. The power of multiple high-precision mapping methods, including SLAM, PPK-SLAM, and RTK-SLAM, allows us to swiftly acquire point cloud data with absolute coordinates
* “ADS-B” besides an RPA name signifies that the RPA can detect manned aircraft and can avoid said aircraft automatically.

Through working on projects for multinational corporations such as Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), Neoen, China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC), SinoHydro, Toni became intricately involved with RPA research and the industry in Zambia.
